Yarborough Mill is truly a magical place where very special memories are made.
If you desire an authentic, rustic venue for your wedding, search no more.
Established in 1849, Yarborough Mill is a privately owned historical property in a very unique setting. It was once a working gristmill and thriving settlement at the turn of the century where goods were sold in the general store. Its special blend of architecture, from the rustic historic gristmill at waters edge, to the stately Victorian home overlooking it on the hillside, is perfectly situated in a beautiful pastoral setting on the water, and creates a stunning natural background for your wedding.
In 1998, the property was purchased and lovingly restored by the current owners to its original state. Their efforts to stay true to the original design is evident at every turn.
Built in 1885, the Queen Anne style Victorian home has a spacious and beautifully appointed bridal suite and is ideal for pictures and getting ready before the ceremony. A separate groom’s cottage is also available. The Pavillion area by the water is the perfect setting to recite your vows, and afterwards, guests can proceed to the Mill for the reception. They will enjoy meandering the beautifully landscaped grounds which create a small village feel, as they walk by the old general store and barn, where mail was once delivered by horseback.
Yarborough Mill is an indoor/outdoor venue. We have a maximum limit of 150 guests per event. Our in-house caterer is encouraged but not required. Alcohol may be brought in. We are located one hour north of Atlanta, and less than 10 minutes from I-75 with multiple hotel choices for your guests (some offering shuttle service), with outlet shopping and golf nearby. Pricing packages for Friday, Saturday or Sunday available upon request. Site tours by appointment only.

“Karen is absolutely the best!!! She doesn’t treat your wedding like just another day she is very responsive and so helpful!!! Our wedding was so beautiful and aside from the flowers we didn’t spend over 100 on our decorations. The place is perfect all on its own!!! It’s affordable and your money really does go a long way with this venue!!!”
“Absolutely loved everything about this venue. Karen was amazing – all of my requests were accommodated! The property looked beautiful.”

“This venue is family owned and operated and absolutely gorgeous! It’s perfect if you are looking for a rustic venue near Atlanta, Georgia. It is located about 1 hour north of Atlanta and there are a variety of hotels nearby. This venue has a Mill, Barn, and old Victorian house located on a stream. The attic of the Barn has a gorgeous honeymoon suite that opens up to the scenic property. They allow you to bring your own caterer and alcohol and is great for a DIY bride. Our ceremony was outside by the stream and our reception was in the Mill. It was a perfect day and we are so happy that we choose Yarborough Mill. All of our guest loved it and complimented the beauty of the grounds.”
“What a breathtakingly beautiful place! We have looked high and low at venues and nothing compares.”
